SC SBDC’s ElevateSC Initiative

The South Carolina Small Business Development Center is proud to introduce ElevateSC: Sustainable Growth for Small Business, a new strategic growth initiative designed to help established South Carolina businesses strengthen operations, increase business value, and prepare for long-term success. Built on the proven Value Acceleration Method developed by the Exit Planning Institute, ElevateSC provides business owners with a practical, action-oriented approach to sustainable growth and transition planning.

The program is designed for established businesses with a documented financial track record and a commitment to strategic growth. Through ElevateSC’s four-step process — Discover, Prepare, Grow, and Harvest — business owners receive a validated business assessment, a prioritized action plan, and ongoing guidance from SC SBDC consultants. The process helps participants better understand the overall value of their business while identifying opportunities to improve operations, leadership, systems, and long-term sustainability.

Unlike traditional one-time consulting services, ElevateSC focuses on building an ongoing relationship between the business owner and the SC SBDC. Participants work closely with consultants throughout the first year to implement growth strategies, track progress, and position their business for future opportunities, including expansion, succession planning, or eventual transition of ownership.
